Explanatory Frameworks

An explanatory framework is a cohesive set of definitions and rules that can be used to organize explanations and test their validity. That is, it is a structured way of thinking about a problem such that if a solution is expressed in terms of the framework it will include its own justification.

Different disciplines use different frameworks for expressing their explanations, such as those listed on the left. So far, only the SBF framework has been filled out. Please send an email if you would like to work on filling out others.
